SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday claimed to have busted a militant module of Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Quoting a police spokesman the news agency KNO reported that Pulwama police along with 55 RR and 182/183 battalion CRPF arrested three militant associates of JeM.

The arrested associates were identified as Owais Altaf, son of Altaf Hussain Ganai of Jandwal, Aqib Manzoor, son of Manzoor Ahmad Mir of Gudoora, Waseem Ahmad Pandit, son of  Gh Mohammad Pandith of Karimabad Pulwama.

The trio was working for the JeM outfit and where providing logistics and transportation to militants in the district, he said.

He added that one AK  rifle, three magazines, 69  AK rounds and one grenade was recovered on their disclosure.

A case under FIR number 77/2022 was registered in Police station Pulwama under relevant sections of law and further investigation was taken up.
