Following the continuous rainfall in Kashmir valley for last many days, it brought back the memories if September 2014 deluge.
Early Wednesday as heavy rains starting lashing Kashmir plain, the Irrigation and Flood Control department said that “there is nothing to worry”.
The water level in Jhelum is normal,” Chief Engineer, I&FC, Javed Jaffar, told Kashmir Life.
Giving details he said that the water level in Jhelum at Sangam in South Kashmir has been recorded as 7.35 feet at 11 in the morning. The water level is 11 feet in Srinagar while it is 8.25 feet in Asham in North Kashmir, he said.
