The incarcerated chairperson of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah Saturday paid glowing tributes to “Quaid-e-Azam” Muhammad Ali Jinnah (RA) on his 141th birth anniversary saying his name will always be remembered till eternity.

In a statement issued here, Shah said, “Under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam (RA), the Muslims of South Asia demanded a separate nation and pledged to secure the religious, cultural identity of Muslims. He fulfilled Allama Iqbal’s (RA) dream of having a separate nation for Muslims and made it clear that minorities particularly Muslims are not safe and secure in the united India. The Muslim Ummah will never forget such a great soul and a well-wisher leader.”

“As India’s freedom struggle gained momentum, thousands of Muslims were massacred as a result of Partition of Bengal and Assam. As a man of utmost courage and farsightedness, the Quaid-e-Azam (RA) handled the situation in an exemplary way. Pakistanis are blessed to have a leader like Quaid-e-Azam (RA) and the people of this nation are duty-bound to uphold the values and principles laid down by this great leader.”

Shah said people of Pakistan must realise how the Quaid-e-Azam (RA) led the Muslims of South Asia and infused a spirit of courage and hope in them and how he changed the destiny of the whole subcontinent.

“The character and leadership of Quaid-e-Azam (RA) with regard to freedom struggle is an example for us. If we will exhibit same courage, valour, and steadfastness and fight with same zeal and vigour, then the dawn of freedom will be near,” Shah said.
