Of the total 104577 unemployed youth registered with the department of the employment in Jammu & Kashmir, 1.8 per cent of them are doctors and engineers.

These details were revealed in the lower house of state legislator in a written reply on Saturday.
The total number of doctors , the date reveals are, 227 and engineers 1662, therby taking the total number to 1889
Earlier in the year 2014, the total youth registered with the department of the employment was stated as 2,22,180 in which the number of doctors and engineers were 3710, that is 1.6 percent of the total.
To overcome the problem of unemployment, government has stated that, “Fast Track Recruitment Policy has been adopted for the all Government departments”.
Besides, in Budget announcement 2017-18, government stated that “all the state-sponsored self-employment schemes will be submitted into a better incentivized single sector-agnostic credit linking schemes to address the un-employment problem.”
However all the beneficiaries of the said scheme have undergo a comprehensive entrepreneurship development program through RSETI’s and J&K EDI, the governments reveals.
