SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Bank has achieved a significant milestone through its digital and alternate channels, handling over 71 lakh transactions totaling Rs 4170 crore. This accomplishment occurred in three days before Eid-ul-Adha.

The bank’s mobile application, mPAY, played a crucial role, facilitating over 27.5 lakh successful transactions, transferring a sum of Rs 1975 crore. Additionally, ATMs saw increased usage, with over 10.5 lakh successful transactions amounting to Rs 620 crore dispensed.

The bank’s UPI services processed payments of Rs 525 crore in 29.10 lakh transactions. Moreover, purchases through the bank’s PoS and e-commerce channels reached Rs 1100 crore in over 3 lakh successful transactions.

However, it is worth mentioning that JK Bank faced challenges as its mobile banking app, mPAY, reportedly crashed several times. A bank official attributed this to a sudden rise in transactions and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
