SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir withdrew more than Rs 800 crore in last four days from Jammu and Kashmir Bank alone, informed sources told Kashmir Life. They said that almost seventy per cent of these transactions took place across the ATM networks in Kashmir alone.
“There have been almost 14 lakh transactions in last four days,” a senior official in JK Bank said.
Officials said that the amount withdrawn is more than double in comparison to the last Eid, in August 2018.
In the four days before Eid in August 2018, the bank had recorded withdrawal of Rs 355 crore only.
