briefing-JK-BankJ&K Bank was Tuesday awarded for its performance in the enrollment subscription of the central government’s flagship insurance scheme Atal Pension Yojna (APY). In terms of targets achieved under APY, the bank was adjudged second among the country’s private sector banks.

The bank’s Vice President Narjay Gupta along with the Nodal Officer (APY) Arshad Sultan received the award from Special Secretary Department of Financial Services (GoI) Snehalatha Srivastava during a National Level Conference on implementation of APY at Indian Habitat Center, New Delhi, which was organized by the Pension Fund Regulatory & Development Authority (PFRDA).

The conference was organized with an objective to provide a platforms to share the strategies and experiences thereby creating synergies between the Banks and MFIs to achieve the noble cause of old-age income security.

Meanwhile, the bank commissioned a new business unit at Dab Ganderbal amid a good gathering comprising of valuable customers, senior citizens, traders and local residents.

The banks Zonal Head Kashmir Central (II) Tasaduq Ahmad inaugurated the premises in a simple but impressive function.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “J&K Bank remains committed to provide world class banking facilities and this business unit is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.”
