J&K Bank Friday dedicated an ATM to general Public at Namblabal Pampore in district Pulwama.

The bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir (South-I) Mohammad Maqbool Lone inaugurated the teller machine amid gathering of valuable customers, senior citizens, traders and other local residents besides some bank officers including the branch head Showkat Makhdoomi.

Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head said, “These cost effective machines are installed to provide round-the-clock services to our customers, reduce foot fall at business units and enhance quality of service.”

Branch Head  Showkat Makhdoomi in his address described the role of ATMs as cost effective alternate delivery channel which adds to the quality of services. He also highlighted features of various deposit schemes.of the bank.

The participants on the occasion thanked the bank authorities for providing them the ATM facility at their doorsteps.

DLRC Ganderbal

The bank convened the District Level Review Committee meeting of Ganderbal District at mini-secretariat Ganderbal, which was chaired by the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Ganderbal Parvaiz Ahmad Raina. All district officers/line departments and district coordinators of all banks operating in the district attended the meeting.

After welcoming the participants the Lead District Manager (LDM) Shafat Maqbool Kitab briefed the house about the achievements of the banks operating in the district under District Credit Plan 2015-16.

The banks have disbursed a total amount of Rs 269.73 Cr for establishment of 13109 units as at the end of the Financial Year 2015-16 registering 55% achievement. Out of these Rs 159.99 Cr have been disbursed under priority sector for establishment of 8910 units and Rs 109.74 Cr for establishing of 4199 units under non- priority sector thereby achieving 57 pc and 51 pc of the target respectively.

Out of the priority sector advances, Agriculture and allied activities registered 55 pc, MSE 88  pc, Education 33 pc, housing 14 pc and others 43 pc.  CD ratio of the district stands at 70%.

Chairman DLRC Parvaiz Ahmad impressed upon both banks as well as sponsoring agencies to play vital role in eradication of unemployment crisis in the district by achieving the set targets of income generating units under various sectors.

While advising NABARD/other concerned agencies for timely release of Subsidy/Margin money, he urged the financial institutions to sanction/disburse the cases strictly as per guide lines and in close co-ordination with sponsoring agencies.
