J&K Bank Friday convened a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of Ganderbal under the Chairmanship of District Development commissioner (DDC) Sarmad Hafeez at meeting hall in mini secretariat Ganderbal.

After welcoming the participants Lead District Manager (LDM) Nisar Ahmad Bhat briefed the house about achievements of banks operating in the district under District Credit Plan 2013-14.

He said, “The banks have disbursed a total amount of Rs 63.57 Crore for establishment of 3079 units at the end of the first quarter under DCP 2013-14. Out of which Rs 37.87 Crore were disbursed for establishment of 2222 units under priority sector registering target achievement of 20% and Rs 25.70 Crores for establishing 857 units under non- priority sector registering an achievement of 16%.

“Deposits of the district have increased by 12% and advances by 29% when compared to YOY basis.CD ratio of the district stands at 61%,” he added.

Chairman DLRC Sarmad Hafeez  stressed upon the banks as well as sponsoring agencies to achieve their targets for setting up income generating units within the time frame to eradicate  unemployment of the district.

He also advised the financial institutions to sanction and disburse the cases strictly as per guide lines and in close co-ordination with sponsoring agencies.

He advised NABARD and other concerned agencies for timely release of subsidy and margin money.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from Cluster head Abdul Hamid Khan.
