J&K Bank convened 43rd District Level Review Committee meeting of District Budgam, which was chaired by DDC Khursheed Ahmad Shah.

The Lead District Manager (LDM) Budgam Mohammad Yaqoob briefed the house about the progress with respect to the targets fixed for the financial year under District Credit Plan 2012-2013.

He informed the house, “The banks in the District have disbursed an amount of Rs 180.83 Cr out of the target of Rs 237.87 Cr thus achieving 76 per cent of the overall target. Out of this Rs 119.10 Cr were disbursed under priority sector thereby achieving 63 per cent of the target of Rs 187.92 Cr earmarked for FY 2012-13 till quarter ended December, 2012″.

DDC, who is also Chairman DLRC, appreciated the role played by Lead Bank Office Budgam in the implementation of government sponsored schemes, Kissan Credit Card scheme and organization of awareness camps in the district.

He directed all the Line Departments and banks to ensure 100 per cent target achievements for each sector and ensure the disbursement of all the cases expeditiously. He assured the banks about the realization of margin money, interest subsidy and capital subsidy pending with the sponsoring agencies, so that banks are able to disburse all pending cases by the end of current financial year.

Meanwhile, the disbursement under various government sponsored schemes for the period under review was Rs 61.74 Crores which included Rs 46.01 Crores disbursement under KCC.

The meeting was attended by the heads of all sponsoring agencies and district coordinators of Banks including Additional DDC Budgam GH. Mohiuddin Bhat, Joint Director Planning Farooq Ahmad Yaswi, J&K Bank Cluster Head Budgam M A Wanchoo and representatives from RBI and NABARD Suchitra Bhattacharya and Sanjay Kumar.

The meeting ended with the vote of thanks presented by Joint Director Planning.

RSETI’s conduct training programmes

The Bank’s RSETI Bandipora concluded training programmes in Mobile Repairing and Food Preservation. Both the programmes witnessed good participation of trainees belonging to Schedule Tribe category from different areas of District Bandipora.

The RSETI Ganderbal started a ten-day training programme for ladies wherein 20 girls would be imparted training in sozni work.

The trainees were sponsored by DRDA Kangan.
