J&K Bank Thursday distributed cash relief among the fire victims at Frislan village, where 55 structures including 46 residential houses, were gutted down last week in a devastating fire.

The Bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir (South) Mushtaq Ahmad Mir handed over the cash relief of Rs 25,000 each to 53 victims at a camp organized in Frislan.

Cluster Heads of the zone Mohammad Yousuf Dhobi, Javeed Ahmad Bhat, Zaffar Makhdoomi, Peer Masood Ahmad and Head B.U Pahalgam Farooq Ahmad Giri were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head said, “Immediately after the incident, our worthy Chairman had promised Bank’s contribution towards relief and rehabilitation of the fire victims. Today we are here to fulfill that promise.”

Quoting Chairman and CEO Mushtaq Ahmad, he said, “J&K Bank is committed to support financially the peoples, whenever and wherever they need. We remain conscious of our responsibilities towards those in distress and desperation.”

Zonal Head assured the victims of complete financial support for establishing their own business ventures and urged them to resume their lives with hope and fortitude.
