SRINAGAR: J&K Bank has reached a significant milestone by becoming the first Scheduled Commercial Bank (SCB) in India to obtain the prestigious Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS) Version 4 Certification for both Issuance and Acquiring Business.

This internationally recognized security standard is governed by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) and endorsed by major payment card brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB.

Expressing his delight, the Bank’s MD & CEO, Baldev Prakash, congratulated the teams responsible for this achievement.

Notably, the certification process involved a comprehensive audit conducted by a team of Qualified Security Assessors (QSA) certified by the PCI Security Standards Council. The assessment evaluated the organization’s adherence to stringent security controls and protocols during payment card transactions.
