Continuing with its Platinum Jubilee initiatives, J&K Bank organized ‘Free Medical Camp’ at Eidgah in Shopian.

As per a statement a large number of people suffering from various ailments visited the camp that was organized in collaboration with Health Department and District Hospital Shopian.

J&K Bank Vice President and Zonal Head (South) Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Cluster Head Javid Ahmad, Block Medical Officer Dr Showkat Ahmad, senior doctors, other medical and para-medical staff of the district hospital were present.

The statement reads that doctors examined around 350 patients suffering from various diseases like hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis and other problems related to heart, kidneys, skin, bones and eyes.

Representatives of some local clinical labs and diagnostic centers also attended the camp and provided 50 percent concession on various services to the patients.

Speaking at the camp, Zonal Head said, “The Bank would continue to care for and serve every section of society through financial intervention, credit counseling, CSR initiatives, and any other permissible activity so that people of the state are able to share the benefits of financial empowerment and economic well-being.”

He gave a detailed overview of various CSR initiatives being taken by the bank and assured the audience of more such camps in the zone.

The people of the district hailed the initiative of the Bank and requested for organizing such camps at other rural and far flung areas of the district.
