SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Bank has appointed Pratik D Punjabi as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Bank for a period of three years. The approval to his appointment was made by the bank’s board of directors in its meeting that concluded today.

As per a communication sent to the two stock exchanges, Rajni Saraf the incumbent CFO of the Bank shall continue as CFO of the Bank till the actual joining of Punjabi.

The communication said the profile of the new CFO will be shared once he joins his job. This is interesting and uncommon in the financial world that the Board will reveal a profile once he joins.

The 1976 born Chartered Accountant, Punjabi is from Maharashtra and is currently associated with a Mumbai based accountancy firm Borkar and Muzumdar Chartered Accountants. Earlier, he has been CFO of an Indian Branch of a UAE based bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank (pre-merger NBAD) from May 2015 to Oct 2019. He was earlier Financial controller of Westpac Banking Corporation and Sr Vice president of HSBC.
