J&K Bank organised various financial literacy camps in Kupwara and Baramulla.JK Bank Logo

Held under the aegis of Lead Bank Office, FLCC Kupwara conducted the camp at Kulangam Handwara, which was attended by a cross section of society especially related to fruit business, farming and other allied activities.

Facilitator FLCC Kupwara apprised the audience about importance of opening savings and other deposit accounts with the banks and educated them about the proper utilization of financial resources.

Lead District Manager Kupwara highlighted the features of Education loan, Housing loan, Consumer & Consumption Loan schemes.

Another such camp conducted at Sheikh-ul-Aalam Environment Center Handwara during a function organised by the Department of KVIB Kupwara.

The camp was attended by a large gathering of college students, trainees at various KVIB, Handcrafts and Handloom centers.

On the occasion, Lead District Manager Kupwara impressed upon the youth to avail the benefits under various government sponsored schemes for establishment of income generating units. Facilitator thanked the audience for their participation.

The Bank’s FLCC center Baramulla organised an awareness camp at Chitloora, Rafiabad which was attended by a good number of people from the village Chitloora and its surroundings including farmers, fruit growers, businessmen, teachers and other local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, Facilitator FLCC said that the aim of these centers was to make people aware of benefits of being connected to banks besides educating them regarding various financial products of banks.

The facilitator educated the audience regarding financial planning and budgeting, various deposit schemes of the banks.
He deliberated upon various loan products of banks and explained in detail Apple Project of J&K Bank and Kissan credit card scheme.

J&K Bank Apple Project officers spoke in detail about Kissan Credit Card scheme with all its features from its eligibility, quantum of finance, interest rate, interest subvention, repayment and renewal.
