With a view to inform students, faculty and non-teaching staff regarding its financial services and products, J&K Bank conducted an awareness programme at Government Degree College, Bemina.

Organised by the Bank’s Marketing Division the programme was conducted in two sessions, one for the students and the other for the entire teaching and non-teaching staff of the college, reads a statement.

Incharge Marketing Division Altaf Mehboob Gani, Head Business Unit Bemina Shahzad Teeli and Principal of the college Dr GM Tibet Baqal were present on the occasion.

However a DLRC (District Level Review Committee) meeting was held today in Baramulla to review achievements under Annual District Credit Plan 2012-13.

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla chaired the meeting that was attended by all the banks operating in the district besides all line departments.

Briefing the house, Lead Bank Officer Baramulla stated under priority sector lending the district has recorded an achievement of 82.67 percent with disbursement of Rs 454.79 cr against the target of Rs 550.12 cr, covering 32364 beneficiaries.

Out of these Rs 454.79 cr, Rs 320.39 cr were disbursed to agriculture sector, Rs 103.68 cr to Small Enterprises and Service Sector got Rs 30.72 cr.

 The house was informed that under Priority Sector lending the District has achieved a growth of 14.13 percent on basis, while as Weaker Section Advances has recorded YoY growth of 39.05 percent.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DLRC has advised all the banks and the sponsoring agencies functioning in the district to work with cooperation and in coordination to achieve the goals and targets of development, progress & eradication of unemployment.
