With a view to boost credit dispensation under direct agriculture lending through Kissan Credit Card scheme, J&K Bank organized a KCC Mela at Gund in Ganderbal. A large number of people belonging to farming community attended the mela.

The Bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir (Central) Bashir Ahmad Lone was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Executive Manager and Head B/U Gund Hilal Ahmad were also present.

Speaking at the mela, Zonal Head said, “J&K Bank is committed to provide all the required finances to the farming community of state as and when the need arises.”

He distributed around 600 KCC cards among the beneficiaries.

Earlier, Cluster Head (III), Kashmir Central informed the gathering that it was 2nd such mela at Gund in order to provide hassle free finance to the farmers.

“Out of 18980 cases received by the Business units under Cluster III, 14101 cases have been sanctioned for Rs 27.46 Crores, out of which 6794 cases have been disbursed amounting to Rs 11.08 crores,” he said.

Senior citizens of the area thanked the Bank management for taking such initiatives aimed the betterment of villagers.
