J&K Bank Sunday emerged as Champions of the State’s J&K Bank & Khyber Big Premier Football League 2015. The J&K Bank Team defeated the State’s top team J&K Forest-XI in the title clash of the Super Division League by a 2:0 goals at Synthetic Turf Football Stadium, Srinagar.
According to a statement by JK Football Association, Adnan put the J&K Bank ahead just four minutes into the match and scored Ist goal of the match. Zubair added to the 2nd lead in 2nd half’s 10 minutes later with a beautiful pass by Danish from a cross by Zubair.
J&K Bank team got off to a quick start on Sunday, with Adnan & Zubair firing into the far corner after a well-timed pass by the defensive midfielders Rohit & Danish.
J&K Forest’s Wasim had a great chance to score in Ist half, but his shot from just in front of the goal was blocked by goalkeeper Shabir.
The win at the Synthetic Turf Stadium keeps J&K Bank-XI in the lead at the top of the league table with 9 points, Lone Star KFC earned 2nd place with 4 points.
Finance Minister Dr Haseeb A Drabu was chief guest on the occasion who distributed prizes among the players.
The tournament was organized by J&K Football Association (DFA Srinagar) & Amblin Events. The Event was supported by Khyber Cements, J&K Bank, 92.7Big FM, LIC of India, HK Cements, CP Advertiser, Posh Enterprises, Share Khan, Green end Corp.
