The members of Chamber of Commerce from Kashmir division, who arrived in Jammu today to extend their support to Jammu Chamber of Commerce and traders and to help normalization of situation in Jammu division, this evening jointly met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and discussed prevailing situation in Jammu.Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah meeting with Members of Chambers of Commerce from Kashmir and Jammu divisions at Jammu-12

As per a statement the meeting discussed matters relating to the restoration of calm and peace in the clash hit areas in Jammu division and help return of normalcy. The trade bodies extended their support to the government in its efforts to bring back peace and restore tranquility in the division.

The Chief Minister has appreciated the trade bodies and said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir has always been protagonist of secularism, communal harmony and have worked for preserving the pluralistic ethos of the state. He has appreciated the two chambers for working in close coordination with each other which will go a long way in restoring normalcy.

Those who participated in the meeting included Jammu Chamber of Commerce led by Y.V Sharma, Hamid Punjabi President Kashmir Chamber of Commerce, Anil Suri, President Bari Brahmana Industrial Association, Yashpal Gupta, President Retailers Federation Association, Jammu, Yasin Khan, Chairman Kashmir Economic Alliance, Mohammad Ashraf Mir President Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir besides  Dr. Mubeen Shah and others.
