SRINAGAR: The Director General of Police, Jammu, and Kashmir, Rashmi Ranjan Swain, on Friday visited the scene of a militant attack in the Surankote area of the Poonch district. The incident claimed the lives of five soldiers on Thursday.
He was accompanied by senior police officials and reached the site of the attack in the Dhera ki Gali area to evaluate the situation and coordinate with security forces.
The police officer interacted with the security forces overlooking the anti-terror operation in the area and also shared his expertise to neutralize the hiding militants at the earliest.
Pertinent to mention here that five soldiers have lost their lives while two others injured after heavily armed militants ambushed two army vehicles were carrying troops to an operational site along the DKG-Bufliaz road on Thursday.
