SRINAGAR: In a major decision, Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday revised its guidelines and declared that all asymptomatic COVID positive cases in Jammu province would be in-home isolation.

The decision, however, came with a rider that the all asymptomatic COVID positive cases in Jammu province would be allowed home isolation with conditions as in Kashmir—free Oximeter, compulsory Arogya Setu App and proper isolation space with a poster outside the house.

“Those presently in the hospital will have to wait till they test negative,” said the Department of Information and Public Relations while disclosing the government decision.

On August 11, the UT administration had decided not to allow asymptomatic COVID-19 patients at home isolation in Jammu region while extending similar relaxation to patients in Kashmir.

Earlier on July 30, the administration had allowed COVID-19 asymptomatic positive patients to stay in home isolation if they have a separate room in their house and Aarogya Setu App in their mobile phone, reported The Tribune.
