Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha shared these details while addressing the Mega Job Fair 2025 organised by Cluster University of Jammu in collaboration with Desh Bhagat University, Punjab, at Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar.

A total of 3,759 youth registered for the job fair, which saw participation from 57 national companies. The event aimed to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing a platform for youth to connect directly with employers.

The LG said that attracting industries to J&K since 2021 had created new employment avenues, while the operationalisation of industries was offering youth exposure to diverse roles suited to their skills and experience.

He described the growing interest of private companies in hiring youth from J&K as a positive sign for the regional economy.

The LG said Atomic North Private Limited had already employed 375 youth at a BPO in Kathua and was expected to expand its operations to employ up to 1,000. He urged the company to establish another unit in Udhampur. He also noted that JSW Group was setting up a BPO in Jammu.

During the event, the LG handed over job offer letters to selected candidates and granted AICTE approvals for BBA and BCA courses to Cluster University.

He also acknowledged the role of government schemes such as PMEGP, REGP, Hausla, Tejaswini, Mumkin, and Mission Youth in improving employability and promoting entrepreneurship across the region.
