SRINAGAR: The Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir has issued an invitation for online tenders, calling on qualified bidders to participate in the oversight of Solar Power and Renewable Energy (RE) Projects/Schemes within the region.

The procurement process will adhere to a Two-Cover system and will be conducted through an e-tendering platform.

The Request for Selection (RFS) provides detailed information regarding the necessary criteria and technical specifications for the projects. Parties interested in participating can access the comprehensive bidding document, including qualifying information, eligibility requirements, technical specifications, the bill of quantities (BOQ), contract terms and conditions, and other pertinent details, via the official website here.

The bidding document will be available online for potential bidders from August 18, 2023, to September 12, 2023, until 5:00 PM. The deadline for bid submission is set for September 12, 2023, at 5:00 PM, with the Technical Bids scheduled to be opened on September 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Bidders are required to remit a non-refundable fee of Rs 20,000 for the bidding document through an electronic transfer to the account of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jammu & Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA).

In addition to the document fee, bidders aiming to qualify for the project are obligated to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) amounting to Rs 20,00,000 in the form of a Bank Guarantee, pledged to the Chief Executive Officer of the J&K Energy Development Agency. This EMD will remain valid for a period of 12 months from the date of bid submission. Furthermore, the validity of the bids themselves will be in effect for 36 months following the tender’s finalisation.
