SRINAGAR: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced a signature campaign advocating for a ban on alcohol in Jammu and Kashmir.
The campaign is set to be launched on Saturday at the PDP office in Srinagar between 11 AM and 2 PM, aiming to mobilise public support for the proposed legislation.
Taking to social media, Iltija Mufti said: “Alcohol and drugs are wrecking lives and families in J&K. We must come together to put an end to it before it’s too late,” she stated, urging people to participate in the campaign.

The move comes after a bill proposed by PDP MLA from Kupwara, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, sought a complete ban on the advertisement, sale, purchase, consumption, and manufacture of alcoholic beverages in Jammu and Kashmir.
