SRINAGAR: Police inSouth Kashmir’s  Kulgam successfully cracked a burglary case, leading to the arrest of six suspects allegedly involved in the crime. Stolen property worth a significant amount also was recovered during the operation.

A police spokesperson in a statement said, “Following a complaint received by Police Station Kulgam regarding the burglary, an investigation was launched, resulting in the registration of FIR No. 21/2024 under relevant sections of the law.”

“During the course of the investigation, authorities identified six individuals suspected of being involved in the burglary. These individuals, namely Reyaz Ahmad Lone, Mohd Amin Wani, Mohd Amin Malik, Mohd Ishaq Malik, Mohd Aslam Bargath, and Nazir Ahmad Lone, confessed to their participation in the crime. Subsequently, all six suspects were apprehended and taken into custody at Police Station Kulgam,”   it reads.

As a result of their disclosure, stolen property, including four animals, was recovered. Additionally, a vehicle (Tata Bolero) with registration number JK19A-1662, believed to have been used during the commission of the crime, was seized.

The investigation into the case is ongoing, with authorities anticipating further arrests and recoveries in the near future.
