SRINAGAR: The first win of Jammu and Kahmir Assembly Elections is secured by National Conference from Gurez Constituency of Bandipora district.
Nazir Ahmad Khan, popularly known as Nazir Gurezi emerged victorious with 8322 votes, defeating BJP candidate Faqeer Mohammad Khan who secured 7219 votes.
He has won with a margin of 1049 votes.
Currently, the counting is going on in all the 90 assembly seats of Jammu and Kashmir. As per early trends, NC-INC alliance is leading at 41 seats, followed by BJP at 26 seats.
