SRINAGAR: The Government on Tuesday informed that 113 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 40 from Jammu division and 73 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 322771.Also, 02 COVID deaths have been reported from Jammu Division.
Moreover, 124 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 49 from Jammu Division and 75 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 99.60 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.
The Bulletin also informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains to 37 in the UT of J&K.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 322771 positive cases, 1298 are Active Positive, 317081 have recovered and 4392 have died; 2153 in Jammu division and 2239 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 12307566 test results available, 11984795 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 2988764 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7372 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1298 in isolation and 370609 in home surveillance. Besides, 2605093 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 71692 positive cases (including 38 cases reported today) with 298 Active Positive, 70560 recovered (including 22 cases recovered today), 834 deaths; Baramulla has 23725 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 102 Active Positive, 23341 recovered (including 14 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 22980 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 78 active positive cases, 22696 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 206 deaths; Pulwama has 15238 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 45 Active Positive, 14999 recovered (including 08 cases recovered today) and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14117 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today), 34 Active Positive, 13918 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today), 165 deaths; Anantnag district has 16345 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today ) with 26 Active Positive, 16114 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9525 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today), with 55 Active Positive, 9370 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9985 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 69 Active Positive, 9838 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today) and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11307 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 30Active Positive, 11160 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today) and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5588 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today) with 06 active positive cases, 5524 recoveries and 58 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 52869 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 131 active positive cases, 51598 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today), 1140 deaths; Udhampur has 11354 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today), 54 active positive cases, 11163 recoveries (including 05case recovered today) and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 10993 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 63 active positive, 10702 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 228 deaths; Doda has 7368 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 116 Active positive, 7124 recovered (including 18 cases recovered today) and 128 deaths; Kathua has 9268 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today) with 06 active positive cases, 9111 recovered and 151 deaths; Samba has 7126 positive cases with 05 active positive cases, 7002 recoveries and 119 deaths; Kishtwar has 4690 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 49 Active Positive, 4597 recoveries (including 02cases recovered today) and 44 deaths; Poonch has 6285 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 33 active positive, 6155 recoveries (including 03cases recovered today) and 97 deaths; Ramban has 5980 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with 23 active positive cases, 5891 recoveries and 66 deaths while Reasi has 6336 positive cases with 75 active positive cases, 6218 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today) and 43 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 322771 positive cases in J&K, 22953 have been reported as travelers while 299818 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 2005 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 394 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 3045 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 251 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5050 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 645 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
