SRINAGAR: The  Government on Saturday informed that 144 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 47 from Jammu division and 97 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 324095.

Moreover, 126 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 43 from Jammu Division and 83 from Kashmir Division.

Besides this, 61.85 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bulletin also informs that no new confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 43 in the UT of J&K.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 324095 positive cases, 1159 are Active Positive, 318535 have recovered and 4401 have died; 2161 in Jammu division and 2240 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 12860541 test results available, 12536446 samples have been tested as negative till today.

Till date 3120581 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 8891 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1159 in isolation and 420530 in home surveillance. Besides, 2685600 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 71954 positive cases (including 31 cases reported today) with 249 Active Positive, 70871 recovered (including 37 cases recovered today), 834 deaths; Baramulla has 23802 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 73 Active Positive, 23447 recovered (including 07 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 23053 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 63 active positive cases, 22785 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today), 206 deaths; Pulwama has 15276 positive cases with 29 Active Positive, 15053 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14201 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today), 47 Active Positive, 13988 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today), 166 deaths;  Anantnag district has 16433 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 67 Active Positive, 16161 recovered and 205 deaths;  Bandipora has 9597 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today), with 62 Active Positive, 9435 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 10065 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 69 Active Positive, 9918 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today) and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11395 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 68 Active Positive, 11210 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5593 positive cases with 04 active positive cases, 5531 recoveries and 58 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 52960 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 111 active positive cases, 51707 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today), 1142 deaths; Udhampur has 11374 positive cases with 20 active positive cases, 11217 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 11066 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 58 active positive, 10777 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today) and 231 deaths; Doda has 7467 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 63 Active positive, 7275 recovered (including 16 cases recovered today) and 129 deaths; Kathua has 9275 positive cases with 04 active positive cases, 9120 recovered  and 151 deaths; Samba has 7133 positive cases  with 06 active positive cases, 7007 recoveries  and 120 deaths; Kishtwar has 4732 positive cases with 37 Active Positive, 4651 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today)  and 44 deaths;  Poonch has 6303 positive cases with 26 active positive, 6180 recoveries (including 01 case recovered today)  and 97 deaths;  Ramban has 5984 positive cases with 07 active positive cases, 5910 recoveries and 67 deaths while Reasi has 6432 positive cases with 97 active positive cases, 6292 recoveries and 43 deaths.

According to the bulletin, among the total 324095 positive cases in J&K, 23100 have been reported as travelers while 300995 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 1993 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 397 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 3041 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 257 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5034 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 654 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
