SRINAGAR: The  Government on Thursday informed that 170 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 23 from Jammu division and 147 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 326480.

Moreover, 158 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 47 from Jammu Division and 111 from Kashmir Division.

Besides this, 71.62 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bulletin also informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 45 in the UT of J&K.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 326480 positive cases, 1263 are Active Positive, 320806 have recovered and 4411 have died; 2166 in Jammu division and 2245 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 13780361 test results available, 13453881 samples have been tested as negative till today.

Till date 3354996 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 8194 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by the government, 1263 in isolation and 466292 in home surveillance. Besides, 2874836 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 72918 positive cases (including 80 cases reported today) with 575 Active Positive, 71506 recovered (including 63 cases recovered today), 837 deaths; Baramulla has 24042 positive cases (including 22 cases reported today) with 168 Active Positive, 23592 recovered (including 10 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 23314 positive cases (including 20 cases reported today) with 142 active positive cases, 22965 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 207 deaths; Pulwama has 15372 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 30 Active Positive, 15148 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14272 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today), 25 Active Positive, 14081 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 166 deaths;  Anantnag district has 16464 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 21 Active Positive, 16238 recovered and 205 deaths;  Bandipora has 9666 positive cases with 30 Active Positive, 9535 recoveries and 101 deaths; Ganderbal has 10155 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 18 Active Positive, 10059 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11438 positive cases 21 Active Positive, 11300 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5602 positive cases with 05 active positive cases, 5539 recoveries and 58 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 53058 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 54 active positive cases, 51862 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today), 1142 deaths; Udhampur has 11385 positive cases with 05 active positive cases, 11243 recoveries and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 11120 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 25 active positive, 10860 recoveries  and 235 deaths; Doda has 7638 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 49 Active positive, 7459 recovered (including 35 cases recovered today) and 130 deaths; Kathua has 9286 positive cases with no active positive case, 9135 recovered  and 151 deaths; Samba has 7138 positive cases  with 05 active positive cases, 7013 recoveries  and 120 deaths; Kishtwar has 4797 positive cases with 19 Active Positive, 4734 recoveries and 44 deaths;  Poonch has 6330 positive cases with 13 active positive, 6220 recoveries and 97 deaths;  Ramban has 6003 positive cases with 15 active positive cases, 5921 recoveries and 67 deaths while Reasi has 6482 positive cases with 43 active positive cases, 6396 recoveries and 43 deaths.

According to the bulletin, among the total 326480 positive cases in J&K, 23209 have been reported as travelers while 303271 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 2009 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 401 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 3039 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 263 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5048 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 664 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
