SRINAGAR: The Government on Thursday informed that181 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 67 from Jammu division and 114 from the Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 321207.

Moreover, 175 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 66 from Jammu Division and 109from Kashmir Division.

Besides this, 99.39 percent of the population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bulletin also informs that No confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 35 in the UT of J&K.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 321207 positive cases, 1144are Active Positive, 315686 have recovered and 4377 have died; 2141 in the Jammu division and 2236 in the Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 11602136 test results available, 11280929 samples have been tested as negative till today.

Till date 2809777 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 8532 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by the government, 1144 in isolation and 350620 in home surveillance. Besides, 2445104 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 71344 positive cases (including 37 cases reported today) with 313 Active Positive, 70199 recovered (including 69 cases recovered today), 832 deaths; Baramulla has 23595 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 100 Active Positive, 23213 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 22879 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 64 active positive cases, 22610 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today), 205 deaths; Pulwama has 15168 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 55 Active Positive, 14919 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today)and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14058 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today), 40 Active Positive, 13853 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today), 165 deaths;  Anantnag district has 16322 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 44 Active Positive, 16073 recovered (including 06 cases recovered today), 205 deaths;  Bandipora has 9465 positive cases with 21 Active Positive, 9344 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today), 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9889 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 47 Active Positive, 9764 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today) and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11244 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today)with 13 Active Positive, 11114 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5584 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today )with 13 active positive cases, 5513 recoveries and 58 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 52741 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 117 active positive cases, 51485 recoveries (including 19 cases recovered today), 1139 deaths; Udhampur has 11290 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today), 30 active positive cases, 11125 recoveries and 135 deaths; Rajouri has 10919 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) 48 active positive, 10646 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today) and 225 deaths; Doda has 7227 positive cases (including 24 cases reported today) with 83 Active positive, 7020 recovered (including 08 cases recovered today) and 124 deaths; Kathua has 9261 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today)with 04 active positive cases, 9106 recoveredand 151 deaths; Samba has 7123 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 16 active positive cases, 6988 recoveries (including 14 cases recovered today)and 119 deaths; Kishtwar has 4638 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 37 Active Positive, 4557 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)  and 44 deaths;  Poonch has 6257 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 36 active positive, 6126 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today) and 95 deaths;  Ramban has 5963positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 21 active positive cases, 5876 recoveries (including 11 cases recovered today)and 66 deaths while Reasi has 6240 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today)with 42 active positive cases, 6155recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)and 43 deaths.

According to the bulletin, among the total 321207 positive cases in J&K, 22828 have been reported as travelers while 298379 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 1987 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 390 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 3016 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 233 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5003 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 623 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.

The government has also started free tele-consultation general OPD services by Specialists/MBBS Doctors for the residents of J&K under National Tele-consultation Service. People can avail these services from Home by registering online on web portal  https://esanjeevaniopd.in/. The services are available on Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. People can also download and install e-sanjeevani OPD app from Google play store.

To ensure public convenience and avoid chaos & panic crowding at tertiary care hospitals, COVID-19 Triage Facility has been started in Jammu at (i) Chest Disease Hospital, Jammu (opposite GMC Hospital Complex, Jammu, Triage CD Hospital Jammu Contact No.-9541925371, 0191-2561000), (ii) Govt Hospital Gandhinagar (Old Block) Contact No.0191-2459300 and in Srinagar at (i) National Institute of Technology Campus,  Hazratbal, Srinagar, Contact No. 9419006991&  (ii) SKIMS-JVC Bemina, Contact No. 7006617821, that shall act as “first arrival point” for screening of any COVID +ve patient intending to get admitted in Govt. Medical College Jammu/ Srinagar & Associated Hospitals, SKIMS Soura and other identified dedicated COVID Hospitals under Directorate of Health Services Jammu/ Kashmir.

For COVID +ve cases in periphery areas and districts other than Jammu/ Srinagar, the triage point shall be the concerned District Hospital / New GMCs (Doda/ Kathua/ Rajouri/ Baramulla/ Anantnag). Admission of such patients from these districts to GMC Jammu/ Srinagar, SKIMS Soura etc shall be strictly on a referral basis only.

Besides, 24×7 Rapid Antigen Testing facilities for COVID-19 have been started outside the emergency of GMC Hospital Jammu. The facility will be very useful for segregation of patients in the emergency wing of GMC Jammu.
