Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Department today Participated in India International Travel Mart (IITM) – Kolkata at Milan Marg, Salt Lake.
The event was inaugurated by Ajit Ranjan Bardhan, Principal Secretary Tourism, West Bengal in presence of C. Murugan, MD, West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation.
On behalf of J&K Deptt of Tourism, a delegation led by Principal Secretary Tourism, Sundeep Kumar Nayak, Mahmood A. Shah, Director Tourism Kashmir were present at the inaugural event.
The J&K Delegation interacted with Travel fraternity and media visiting the stall. The layout & the design of the stall depicting all three regions were appreciated & received a good footfall.
Tourism Deptt also hosted a Road Show and JK Evening at The Hyatt Regency later in the evening. Tour & Travel Operators from West Bengal, members of IMF – Kolkata and Himalayan Club – Kolkata Chapter, besides media turned up in large numbers to be part of the Road show.
Officers from Tourism Ministry of West Bengal also joined the Road Show.
Jammu and Kashmir State receives 2nd highest number of Tourists from West Bengal who come for leisure during Spring & Adventure during summer. However, at the today’s event other products like, Golf, Heritage, Pilgrim, MICE Tourism & Craft are also being promoted.
