SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday announced the results of the annual regular Class 10 examination (2025), recording an overall pass percentage of 85.03 per cent.
According to official data released by JKBOSE, a total of 94,845 students—47,736 boys and 47,109 girls—were enrolled for the examination. Of these, 80,650 candidates, including 40,242 boys and 40,408 girls, successfully passed.
Girls outperformed boys, registering a pass percentage of 85.78 per cent, compared with 84.30 per cent among boys.
The board’s data further show that 16,550 students secured Grade A1, while 14,398 achieved Grade A2. A total of 16,014 candidates were awarded Grade B1, 17,519 Grade B2, 13,623 Grade C1 and 2,525 Grade C2. Two students were placed in Grade D.
JKBOSE officials said the results mark the culmination of the annual evaluation process for Class 10 students across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Last year, the pass percentage in the Class 10 examinations stood at 79 per cent.
The board had earlier stated that scoring 85 per cent marks in the examinations would be considered equivalent to scoring 100 per cent. This decision was taken in view of disruptions to the academic calendar caused by heatwaves, torrential rains, cloudbursts and floods, which led to a 15 per cent concession in the syllabus.
