Police today arrested two activists of JKLF who were going to meet incarcerated JKLF chairperson Muhammad Yasin Malik at police station Kothibagh, a party spokesperson claimed in a statement.

The spokesperson added that JKLF activists Muhammad Younis Butt and Faisal Aslam who entered police station premises to meet incarcerated Malik were detained immediately and shifted to police station Maisuma.

“They were later taken to court and after that to police control room hospital for medical check-up from where they will be shifted to some jail,” the spokesperson said.

Condemning the arrest of these activists in “fake cases” that too when they were meeting JKLF chairperson inside police station, JKLF spokesperson termed it as “mere frustration of police and authorities”.

“It is worth to mention that Yasin Malik who was arrested on 12th august while going towards Pulwama is still in police custody. Yasin Sahib has been lodged at police station Kothibagh along with Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri. Also a senior JKLF activist Muhammad Ayub Naikoo has been arrested by police from his residence at Babapora Shupian.”
