JKLF diplomatic bureau chief while expressing his deep and serious concern over the deteriorating situation in Jammu Kashmir said that militarized violence and use of lethal force by the army, especially in the rural areas of Kashmir valley like Shopian, Kulgam, Pulwama, Tral, Bejbihara, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Sonawari, Beerwah, Budgam, Handwara and Kupwara has put the lives and basic human rights of humans living in Indian held Kashmir to jeopardy.

the spokesman added that  JKLF leaders informed the officials that under cordon and search operations, soldiers enter homes and subject residents to violent beatings, and treat people, especially women in the most undignified manner during the systematic and planned violence.

JKLF delegation also informed British foreign office about the lack of space for peaceful politics and said that space on peaceful political activities was totally choked by the authorities in Jammu Kashmir and political leaders like Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik and others are on daily basis arrested or put under house arrested and are not let free to meet people anywhere in their own land
