JKLF leader Malik arrested, sent to Central  jail

To foil Joint resistance leadership call for valley wide protests after Friday prayers against the recent civilian killings by forces, police arrested JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik from his residence, a spokesman of the party said.

Police in large numbers raided his residence and arrested him. He was immediately shifted to central jail Srinagar.

On Thursday he reached Shopian and paid homage to the lady Ruby jan and local militant killed in an encounter in Batmurran village of Shopian in southern Kashmir.
