JKLF leaders, activists stage protest against right violations in Kashmir

“On the call of Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), Front leaders and activists including Muhammad Yasin Bhat, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, M. Sideeq Shah, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Javed Ahmad Butt, Ghulam Muhammad Dar, Professor Javed, Muhammad Hanif Dar and along with people from different walks of life gathered held peaceful protest at Maisuma Lal Chowk and demonstrated against ongoing “Indian aggression” and carnage in Kashmir valley,” a JKLF spokesman said.

“JKLF leaders addressed protesters and condemned the spree of Killings, vandalizing people’s properties,” said a front spokesperson in a statement.

Meanwhile, JKLF chief Yasin Malik in his statement said: “Indian rulers and their abettors in Jammu Kashmir are employing every weapon and tactic to suppress Kashmiri voices for freedom but they fail to understand that a nation that has resolved to achieve freedom and right to self-determination cannot be suppressed by use of slaughter.”

“Employ whatever force you have at your disposal against Kashmiris but bear in mind that all your bullying will fail to suppress Kashmiri voices for freedom as recent and the past history of nations bears a witness to the fact that killings, gallows, guns, tanks, chemical weapons, jails, drones and other modes of slaughter never succeed in defeating nations that are striving for freedom and right of self-determination,” asserted JKLF chairman in a statement.

JKLF chairman while paying rich tributes to all recent “martyrs” said that blood of Kashmiris is being spilled ruthlessly and with impunity which is highly condemnable.

JKLF Chief has paid rich tributes to veteran leader of freedom movement Jenab Sofi Muhammad Akbar on his death anniversary.

While paying rich tributes to the great leader, JKLF chairman said that Sofi Sahib was a great patriot and a selfless leader who instead of power and authority chose the path of thorns and till his last breath remained steadfast with freedom movement, resisting “tyranny and oppression”.

He said that the path of struggle and resistance shown by this great soul is an example and like a beacon light for us and today on a day when we are recalling this great soul, we pledge to take forward his mission to its desired goal.
