Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Tuesday alleged that police vandalized their office in Kupwara district where preparations were being made for the “Maqbool Day”.

“Police today raided the district office of JKLF at Kupwara and besides vandalizing the whole office took away everything that was present in the office,” said a spokesman.

“JKLF district body had called for a meeting for giving final touches to all programs to be held regarding 11th February, the Maqbool day.”

“Though the meeting was being held outside the office, but police raided the office, broke doors and windows of it and took away everything present in the office with them.”

Terming this police “highhandedness” as an act of unilateral violence, JKLF has said that this police action is “glaring example of frustration of so-called rulers and their authorities.”
