Scores of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) activists were Monday detained during a protest rally against attacks on Kashmiri students studying in various colleges outside the state.

Meanwhile, Yasin Malik, the chairperson of JKLF, was detained by police in a raid last night.

Malik has called for a strike on Tuesday to protest against the attacks on Kashmiri students.

Led by senior leaders, JKLF activists took out a march from the party headquarters in Maisuma and headed towards Lal Chowk, but a police team intercepted them near Taj Hotel.

A JKLF Spokesperson said that dozens of activists were detained by police.
