Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Saturday lodged a strong protest against “oppression on Sikh brethren of Jammu”.

JKLF vice president advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt while strongly condemning the “state force” on Sikhs in Jammu said: “Until now, people of Kashmir were witnessing this police and forces oppression, but today Sikh brothers in Jammu are also being suppressed by police.”

Meanwhile continuing its  “Jail bharo” movement, the JKLF Saturday took out a procession in Maisuma.

“We have voluntarily presented ourselves for jails and this we are doing as a mark of protest against the so called ruler’s policy of choking political space on resistance camp,” Butt said. “Exemplary peaceful process of voluntary arrests by JKLF has set a glaring example of peaceful struggle.”

Notably, JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik called for “Jail bharo” movement lately to protest against “denying political space to separatists”.
