Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik Friday said that JKLF will take out a peaceful march from Batamaloo to City Centre Lal Chowk on International Human Rights Day falling on December 10.

In a press statement, Chairman JKLF said that people of Kashmir have witnessed such human rights abuses that have no parallel in the history of the world . “Lacs of innocent Kashmiri’s have been brutally killed, tens of thousands Killed in custody. About ten thousand are missing in custody, hundreds of our women have been assaulted by Indian Forces and thousands of unmarked graves have been discovered recently,” he said.

Malik said that this brutally and tyranny is still on and human rights of Kashmiris are being violated day in and day out and India to keep its “illegal occupation on Kashmir” is subjecting the people of Kashmir to worst kind of human rights abuses .

Malik said that kashmiris at the behest of international community unilaterally transformed their movement from violent to non violent. “People were of the opinion that this positive change will be appreciated by India and the international community but to our despair, nothing like this happened. Instead of honouring this peaceful behavior of kashmiris, Indian Forces killed hundreds of peace loving youth, tortured and jailed thousands and also opening a new chapter of judicial torture policy tens of our people have been sentenced to  life and are languishing in jails,” he said adding that to protest against this ongoing oppression and human rights abuses, JKLF as in past, will take out a candle light protest march from Ziyarat Batamallo sahib on December 10 at 5 in the evening which will culminate peacefully at City Centre Lal Chowk.
