SRINAGAR: A Guidance council meeting of J&K Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA) was held on Sunday at MED Complex Shalteng Srinagar for threadbare discussion on various issues pertaining to the engineering community in general and mechanical in particular.
According to the statement, in the opening speech Er Firdous Amad Bhat, President JKMEGA prayed for all Covid warriors of the engineering community who lost their lives in the line of duty during these tough times.
The statement said that the members pinned hope that redressal of most of the long-pending issues especially regularisation under the present administration of R&B are moving in the right direction but need to speed up at all levels.
It said that the president moved a proposal for an early election to uphold democracy of association and framing of an independent election body in this regard was approved.
“They unanimously again appealed and reminded the JK administration for full utilization of Mechanical Engineering in present departmental re-organization initiated for the overall development of J&K in a modern mechanized world,” it added.
“The regularisation process initiated by R&B was applauded and HRM wing of R&B Department was requested again for early regularisation of mechanical at all levels,” said the statement.
