State’s energy giant Power Development Corporation has registered a profit of Rs 345 crore during 2011-12, a high level meeting was informed in Jammu. The overall revenue generation by the state’s fully owned corporation during the current financial stands at Rs 1154.89 crore.

Quoting the Corporation MD Basharat Ahmad, an official spokesman said the 27 projects were made operational in the state of which 21 in the state sector, four in the Central and 2 in the private sector.

Besides, the corporation has drawn a road map for systematic capacity addition of 9036 MW from 58 projects, of which, 23 projects of 2222.50 MW are being allotted. Similarly, 30 projects with capacity of 2302.05 MW are tendered out and 5 projects with capacity of 4512 MWs have been prioritized for execution, Ahmad stated.
