SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown on July 19, 2025, in several areas of North Kashmir.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Engineer of JKPTCL, the shutdown is necessary to carry out checks on the 132 KV D/C Amargarh–Kupwara transmission line between location numbers 09 and 10 at Badambagh, Sopore. Additionally, tightening of the loose earth wire will be undertaken between tower locations 103 and 104 at Natnussa, Kupwara.
The affected areas include Handwara, Zachaldara, Magam, Dolipora, Kralpora, Tangdar, Keran, Machil, Lolab, Khumeriyal, Chogal, Panzgam, Karihama, Trehgam, Hyhama, Tarathpora, Vilgam, Sogam, Divar, Krusen, Drugmulla and other nearby areas. The shutdown will take place on July 19 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
