SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir’s student community is set to benefit from a prestigious new initiative as JKScientists announces a collaborative venture with the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) in Bengaluru. The two organisations have launched the JKS-NCBS Winter Programme, which provides students from Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh the chance to engage in cutting-edge research at one of India’s premier research institutes.
This 8-10 week research internship is scheduled from December 2, 2024, to January 31, 2025, at the beautiful campus of NCBS, Bengaluru. Students selected for the programme will receive a stipend of Rs 10,000 per month. They will be provided free accommodation on campus, ensuring they can focus entirely on their research experience without financial concerns. The programme is tailored for final-year Master’s students or recent Master’s graduates in STEM fields, specifically those enrolled in educational institutions in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.
