SRINAGAR: JLNM Hospital Srinagar has been awarded the prestigious ‘National Quality Certification’ under the MusQan programme after clearing a detailed national-level assessment with high scores.
The hospital underwent external evaluation on July 7–8, 2025 across three key departments — Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU), Paediatric OPD, and Paediatric Ward. The assessors reported that the hospital fulfilled all quality standards and achieved an overall score of 88.22 percent.
Officials said the certification has been granted in recognition of the hospital’s compliance with quality parameters in maternal and child healthcare services. The National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), which conducted the review, has advised the hospital to continue implementing improvement measures and submit action plans for future audits.
The recognition, according to health authorities, reflects the government’s efforts to improve healthcare standards and will benefit thousands of patients in Srinagar and adjoining districts. (KNC)
