SRINAGAR: The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) on Tuesday sealed 46 shops at the Indra Chowk Vegetable Market over unpaid dues, officials said.
The civic body carried out the action as part of its recovery drive against commercial establishments with outstanding payments.
The shops were sealed after the dues remained unpaid despite the proceedings initiated by the municipal authorities, officials said.
Further details, including the total amount of outstanding dues and the period for which the payments had remained pending, were not immediately available.
