SRINAGAR: In a flip-flop, the JKSSB, the main recruiting agency of Jammu and Kashmir issued a statement about the examination schedule for various jobs. As it confounded the confusion, it went to Twitter to address the same and clarify things.

After a high-level meeting, JKSSB has notified tentative dates for the conduct of various examinations in the month of January and February 2022. This, the statement said, was done following requests from a large number of candidates for revising the schedule of examinations in view of the continued cold weather conditions, imposition of restrictions from Friday 2 pm till Monday 6 am for COVID containment, across all districts in Jammu & Kashmir.

“The Board examined the matter in light of the prevailing circumstances and decided to schedule various examinations (OMR/CBT) after 20th February 2022,” the statement said. “However, a detailed date sheet/post wise schedule of examinations shall be notified separately for information of the candidates in due course.”

The JKSSB advised candidates to keep visiting the official website of the Board for official/ authentic updates regarding various activities being undertaken by the JKSSB.

After the release was issued to the public domain, the candidates started asking about the examinations already scheduled. They south detail about these examinations when the same situation prevails across Jammu and Kashmir.

This led the JKSSB to use Twitter to clear the confusion saying the examinations already scheduled will have no change. “It is clarified for information of candidates that JKSSB has decided to hold forthcoming exams (not scheduled yet) after 20th February 2022,” the Board said. “However, there is no change in ongoing CBT exam scheduled for 24th January 2022, which shall be conducted as per schedule.”
