SRINAGAR: With tax compliance becoming the priority for business and even at the individual level, people would utilise the services of the accounting people in the hope that they would get trained while at work. While some did, not any could negotiate the new tax regime professionally.
It is against this backdrop that the Taxman Academy has introduced the Tax and Accounts Professional (TAP) Course. An online course that requires two-to-three hours a day, for two to three days a week, will help an individual to become a certified professional.
The course is divided into three levels and is job-oriented. The level one course is the foundation course, ‘Learn the Basics’. New batches are starting in January 2024 and the registration process is open.
The company executive said the comprehensive course will cover Income Tax, GST, Labour Laws, MS Office, Accounting Concepts, TDS/TCS, Company Law, MSME, FSSAI, and Personality Development. It focuses on conceptual knowledge and practical skills training. The course includes 125 hours with regular assessments. After the successful completion of the course, the academy issues a certificate in favour of the students.
The course is designed to help undergraduate students, employed and self-employed as well. It provides training about various compliances that are applicable in day-to-day business practices. It gives students an experience of real-life challenges faced in Tax and Corporate compliance.
The course consists of eight modules covering Necessary Registrations, Book Keeping, Daily Compliances, Monthly Compliances, Quarterly Compliances, Income Tax, Computer Skills, and Personality Development. The students will be provided with placement facilitation.
During this journey, students will be promoted to Level Two for advanced learning after clearing the final assessment. The students will be assisted in placement by nine industry experts, the company said. The duration will run for 4-5 months. There will be weekly classes.
During the course, there will be interactive live classes. The course material will be shipped to students. They will also have access to tutorial videos. There will be a real-time query resolution. The progress of students will be evaluated through online assessments. AICTE evaluates the course for the Ministry of Education’s National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT) Portal.
The faculty includes chartered accountants (CA) Ridhima Bhatia, Tarun Kumar, Naveen Wadhwa, Ankur Agrawal, CA Vivek Laddha, CS Divya Bajpai, Dr Ranjeet Mehta and Mrs Deepa Agrawal.
