SRINAGAR: Father of senior photo and video journalist Shah Hilal passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness in south Kashmir’s Anantnag.
Family sources said Peer Ghulam Nabi, 55, father of Shah Hilal breathed his last on way to hospital in an ambulance at Pampore. He was a noted Naat khawan and mostly seen at the shrine of Dastgeer Sahab Srinagar.
Hilal is a Kashmiri journalist working for different media outlets including Kashmir Life.
He will be laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Dooru area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Peer is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.
