Known Kashmiri journalist, Suhail Bukhari was Tuesday appointed as the media consultant of J&K’s chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti.
Bukhari’s appointment was confirmed by Government Order No. 543—GAD of 2016, DATED: 24.05.2016.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Syed Suhail Bukhari S/o Syed Zia-ud-din Bukhari R/o Kreeri, Baramulla, as Media Consultant to the J&K Government,” the order said.
Nature of Bukhari’s appointment is contractual with salary of Rs. 80,000 per month besides transportation by the State Motor Garages and official accommodation at Chief Minister’s Private Office, Srinagar.
Bukhari was working as the bureau chief of NEWS X prior to his appointment.
